I’m Adam Middleton, a Chicago native and seasoned graphic designer/art director with over 25 years of experience, primarily in the financial industry. I’ve led creative teams, built brands, and crafted design strategies that bring complex ideas to life.
Previously, I was a creative director at Franklin Templeton, where I led the thought leadership, global investment marketing, and education design team. Before that, I served as creative services manager for the University of St. Francis, overseeing the institution’s branding and design projects. I also spent over a decade in leadership roles at UBS Asset Management and Morningstar, shaping the visual direction of financial communications.
My focus is on developing thoughtful design strategy, creating clear data visuals, and delivering compelling, impactful solutions across industries. Throughout my career, I’ve developed and executed creative solutions across a wide range of mediums—branding, website design, digital and print marketing, video production, event materials, and corporate communications. Whether shaping a brand’s identity or crafting campaigns that engage and inform, my goal is always to create meaningful, visually compelling work that resonates.
I earned my bachelor of fine arts in graphic design from the University of Illinois Chicago, and I remain passionate about using design to inform, inspire, and connect with audiences. When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the garden, looking after our small flock of chickens, or heading out on hikes with my family and our dogs—anything that gets me outside.
